PORTSIDE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE - SENIOR SCHOOL - YEAR 10-12

​

Our Senior students are given a high degree of personal attention and are prepared for tertiary or further study by a committed team of teachers who mentor and coach.

​

Our dynamic work placement program enables students to gain valuable experience and a taste of future career pathways. Our graduates have successfully completed a range of university degrees and trades and graduate with a sense of purpose, service and aspirations for their future career.

Portside Christian College meets the goals of the Australian curriculum for our Senior School students. We provide a dynamic program which supports and extends student's abilities and creates independence. 

 

Students complete SACE through core Stage 1 and Stage 2 subjects and access elective subjects to suit their tertiary requirements. This may include a wide range of Certificates through our VET program, including those available on site at our Trade Training Centre.

SACE - Stage 1

Stage 1 subjects are offered and resulted as 10 credit single Semester subjects. Therefore students may change subjects in the second Semester or continue them over the full year. Please click on the subject area of interest to see all subjects available for that subject area.

SACE - Stage 2

Stage 2 subjects are offered and resulted as 10 or 20 credit full year subjects. Students need to choose at least four 20 credit subjects (or equivalent) plus the Research Project to be ATAR eligible.

SEQTA Continuous Online Reporting for all Senior students

Portside Christian College uses SEQTA  for our Learning Management System, to manage and share information with our College Community for Years Foundation to 12.

Debating in Senior School at Portside Christian College

Portside Christian College also offers debating in Senior School. We believe students who participate in debating develop skills in critical thinking, public speaking, and persuasive argumentation, which are highly valued in many academic and professional contexts. 

Our student leadership opportunities

Portside Christian College offers a student leadership opportunities throughout our students life at the College. Student leadership programs offer many benefits including opportunities to develop essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. 

 

Our College also has a student SRC for Senior School students.
