Digital Safety and Wellbeing

The way in which young people use technology has shifted significantly, spending more time than ever online. This paradigm shift presents many new challenges for schools and families, not to mention an increase in online risks and threats.

At Portside Christian College we take our students' digital safety and wellbeing very seriously. We continually look at ways to ensure that we can be proactive to ensure children remain safe online at all times.

We have resources made available to support our families through our partnership with Linewize - Online Safety Hub. The Online Safety Hub is home to the latest cyber expert advice and materials to help you support your child’s digital journey. Key features of the Hub include:

  • Latest advice from leading experts including 100s of app and game reviews

  • Access to parental tools to manage screen time and online safety issues

  • Useful and relevant guides to help parents/ guardians to support your child’s healthy technology use.

The technology that Linewize provides protects more than 12 million students and now includes a parental child safety app from Qustodio. We are very excited to be able to offer you this level of expertise and support in an area that we know has been challenging for many parents to manage.
