“If we make the most of every day, then we can find our own land of grace.”

These moving final words, spoken by the character Dad McKenzie, echoed through the theatre on our final night as the curtain closed on the last performance of our original school musical, GRACELAND.

What began back in September, with just a spark of an idea, an incomplete script, and no music, has grown into something truly remarkable. Over the months, our students poured their creativity, time, and passion into bringing this story to life—and last week, all their hard work paid off in front of enthusiastic audiences.

A Creative Journey from the Ground Up

Creating a musical from scratch is no small feat. With no pre-written score and only a partial script in hand at the beginning, this project required not just talent, but imagination, collaboration, and perseverance. The students involved—on stage, in the band, and behind the scenes—stepped up to every challenge with enthusiasm and heart.

Their commitment transformed GRACELAND from concept to full-scale production. Whether performing matinees for fellow students or evening shows for the wider community, the cast delivered each scene with energy, emotion, and polish.

A Cast and Crew That Shined

The talent on display was extraordinary. Our cast brought rich, layered characters to life; our band filled the space with original, soul-stirring music; and our crew worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure every performance ran smoothly.

More than that, there was a deep sense of camaraderie and joy—a reminder of how the performing arts bring people together in the most meaningful of ways.

A Word of Thanks

A heartfelt thank you goes out to every student who gave so willingly of their time and talents to make GRACELAND possible. Your dedication, creativity, and team spirit were the beating heart of this production.

Thanks also to the staff members who supported the process from beginning to end, mentoring students, managing logistics, and ensuring the show came together with professionalism and care.

Finally, our thoughts...

GRACELAND has been more than a performance—it’s been a shared journey of growth, storytelling, and celebration. And as Dad McKenzie reminded us so powerfully: “If we make the most of every day, then we can find our own land of grace.”

Here’s to the next chapter.
