Student Wellbeing is a vital part of life at Portside Christian College. With a focus on mental, spiritual, and emotional health, our Wellbeing team support students from Foundation to Year 12 through counselling, emotional training, and community programs.
Our strong partnership with the Inclusion Support team means students with additional learning or emotional needs are supported through targeted plans and appropriate referrals—ensuring they can succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Programs like What’s the Buzz? helps students build social skills and emotional resilience. Friendship sessions in Primary School foster healthy relationships and a sense of belonging. The Wellbeing space is also a hub for Allied Health support, academic assistance, and small group sessions during lunch and recess.
A weekly highlight in 2024 was the Thursday breakfast program, where students and staff connected over Milo and toast, creating a warm, welcoming start to the day.
