Our College community was truly alive with The Sound of Music, as students took to the stage for our annual musical production.
Audiences were transported to Austria in the late 1930s, following the story of the Von Trapp family as they navigated a time of uncertainty and change. Alongside this powerful historical backdrop, the heartwarming journey of Maria - transforming from a novice nun to a beloved governess - captured the joy, love and resilience of family life.
Throughout the production, a deeper message of God’s care and protection was woven beautifully into the story, resonating with audiences from beginning to end.
Our students delivered outstanding performances across the board. From Maria and Captain Von Trapp, to the children, nuns, house staff and townsfolk, every cast member contributed to bringing this much-loved story to life. Memorable musical moments, from the playful Lonely Goatherd to the inspiring Climb Every Mountain, had audiences thoroughly engaged.
Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff and crew worked tirelessly to ensure every detail came together seamlessly. Their commitment and creativity were instrumental in making this production such a success.
As our annual school musical, many are already calling this our best yet - a wonderful reflection of the talent and teamwork within our College community.
We’re already looking ahead, with auditions for the 2027 Portside Christian College Musical to take place later this year.
