“Tomorrow, tomorrow, I’ll love you tomorrow. It’s only a day away!” With those iconic final words, our 2024 Senior School Musical Production of Annie came to a close—leaving behind a trail of laughter, a few happy tears, and an unforgettable sense of joy.

This moment was the culmination of months of dedication, talent, and teamwork.

Beginning back in September 2023, our incredible cast and crew poured themselves into this production through 23 full cast rehearsals and 18 orchestra rehearsals. And the results? Nothing short of spectacular.

From the Streets of New York to the School Stage

With a cast of 32 students, our stage transformed into 1930s New York City. Students stepped into the shoes of orphans, billionaires, house staff, New Yorkers, and even charming (and not-so-charming) con artists. Their performances brought this beloved story to life with charm, humour, and depth.

Behind the scenes, our live orchestra—including six talented student musicians—provided a rich musical backdrop that elevated every song. Their commitment, alongside support from dedicated helpers, gave the show its heartbeat.

Magic Behind the Curtain

No production shines without a top-notch backstage crew, and ours was phenomenal. Seamless set changes transported us from orphanages to mansions, while our tech team ensured every note and line reached the audience with clarity and impact. Their precision kept the story flowing smoothly and allowed the audience to be fully immersed in Annie’s journey of hope and redemption.

More Than Just a Show

This production wasn’t just about staging a musical—it was about community. Our students grew not just in performance skill but in confidence, collaboration, and creativity. They carried the heart of Annie—a tale of resilience, optimism, and belonging—with authenticity and grace.

We’re especially grateful to Ms Voortman and Mr Gillard, whose leadership, vision, and behind-the-scenes dedication helped make it all possible. Their unwavering support from the first rehearsal to the final curtain call played a huge role in bringing this show to life.
